Public Holiday for Workers  across Spain – Hoorah!  April data now logged and what a pleasant month it was – not too hot for climbing or walking and almost no rainfall. high winds peaked at 46,8 kph on the 25th in the early hours – not a damaging wind but enough to blow the tail feathers off our ornamental garden cockerel! Just 6,3mm of rain on the two days of April when we had rainfall and a high temperature of 25,8ºc on the 12th at about half five in the afternoon. A point to note ‘ the highest temperature during the day is always some time between 4 and 7 – so don´t plan that climbing day around the “ cool of the evening” ‘ get on the crag in the morning, before it has hotted up!

April started according to the Spanish proverb – ” En Abril, Aguas Mil!” ( loads of rain in April...) However, it’s been quite a modest rainfall; just 5,3 mm on the 3rd. The end of March  had 6,3 mm over three days, 26th,27th and 28th. So that’s probably it for this winter. Never complain! [table id=6 /]
